The Rocket Motel has a charming retro vibe with very clean accommodations. Owners Don and Brenda are delightful and friendly. While the room was a bit small and lacked coffee makers, the inviting atmosphere and proximity to dining options made up for it. A lovely place to explore the Black Hills!

Perfect for couples seeking nostalgia

Loved how warm Don and Brenda were welcoming us into their little slice of the past. The room just had this retro vibe with red and white accents and was spotless, I mean if you can't appreciate good cleanliness then what are you even doing with your life?

Had an awesome group trip with friends! The rooms were spotless and super comfy. We totally enjoyed exploring Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park. Just a heads up, there’s no breakfast, but they always have good coffee and muffins available. For a retro vibe and friendly staff, this place is a must!

The only downside was the small room size, but we made it work. It wasn’t a deal-breaker for us!
